Creating effective specifications

Advice + clear input

Consultation

AV Tender Consult ®

Tender consultancy for audiovisual technology, lighting, stage technology and design.

An idea is only valuable if there is a follow-up, we follow three pillars:

1. Clear criteria

The plan and the criteria must be clearly stated on paper including specifications.

2. detailed budgets

The budget must be clearly formulated and followed in technical detail*.

3. one philosophy & Design

The philosophy and the design must be one and connect to other (MEAT) pillars.

* An exception is of course unforeseen and/or incomplete information that comes up later (Bagatelle), nobody needs rigidity so some form of flexibility is important.

“Better to turn back halfway than to strand with a bad flaky idea or plan”

In general

Consultation service for both the request and the registration process of AV, lighting, stage/theatre technology, design and installation. This can be within or outside the EU Public Tendering Rules. Our tender service draws from over 30 years of experience in the AV field (purchase/sales/installation/services). During the consultation on audiovisual equipment tenders, we look at the actual wishes and how to translate these into a usable purchase within the tender procedure. And we help commercial parties with registrations and there bid.

Research and education

Recent developments

We frequently visit AV manufacturers in Europe and maintain worldwide contact. The most interesting part is the R&D department, what developments are coming? This is not accessible to everyone, but usually the enthusiasm is reason to offer a peak in these developments on site.

Teaching, reading and own education

Although practical experience is undeniably number 1 "practice makes perfect", reading up on new technologies is an obvious part of self-study. Teaching students in the AV profession (decades of experience) makes you alert and aware of new developments and other approaches. Own Education; HTI Haarlem technical sales/purchasing advisor, business management, Nova College technology, Veritasium Education, Leiden Education Institute (marketing) technical buyer/seller, Berklee College Online electronic music, Bosch-Telex Audio engineering, Yamaha Education, Open University Haarlem Interior Design, A&H Dante Seminars, General Music Audio Design, Visual Productions beta tester, AHK Open Studio Film & Video, EU Tender/procurement law - Board Academy Netherlands, IMSI CAD training, Tenders e-Learning Tender team, Winning Bid-Tender writing (MEAT plan), General Research AV & Theater technology, Purchasing/sales techniques and marketing-Institute for economics NCOI. Autocad design and technology, production manager, project manager, organizational techniques, stage technology and AV installation, sales and purchasing advice.

What we do and don’t do?

Geopolitical aspects, (total private contract) law, stock and commodity fluctuations etc. are points on which we can give advice, but this is not our "core business".
Our focus is on technology and design tenders.

We can call in our specialists to find out details. Is data or code safe, are there subsidies. Inhouse we can research what percentage of the product is made in Europe, rules of tendering, which core competencies are important, is soft-ware reliable (beta testing, partly inhouse) etc. Read more

The result is an actual usable purchase, tendering with real impact.

As a salesperson, you must be interested in the customer's wishes, only then you can really determine what your proposal looks like. And during a purchasing process, you must know how something is (technical dexterity) put together and what the "track record" is in order to be able to determine the “value for money” properly.
